Trainer and Consultant, Ric specializes in Business English
and Presentation Training. He is currently a Business
English Trainer with Antipolis
Sprachschule in Bielefeld,
Germany and a Presentation
Coach with Impuls Plus for Post Doctoral students and Junior
Scientists. Ric worked as the Associate Director of Education for Making Books Sing in New York City from 1999 to 2005. As a Teaching Artist, Ric has worked with Making Books Sing at elementary schools in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. As an actor with Making Books Sing he appeared as Papi in the world premiere of "The Upside Down Boy", a musical based on the book by Juan Felipe Herrera. Ric also appeared as Meriwether Lewis in Making Books Sing's 2003 production "Bird Woman: The Story of Sacagawea". Favorite roles as an actor include Macheath in "The Threepenny Opera”, the Hare in "More Grimm Tales”, the title role in "The 13 Hallucinations Of Julio Rivera" and Walter in "Three Postcards" . Regional credits as an actor include: “Into the Woods” (Old Globe Theatre), “McCarthy” (Milwaukee Repertory Theatre), "The Skriker" (Public Theatre), "Entries" (George Street Playhouse), "According To Coyote" (Berkeley Repertory Theatre), "Radio Mambo" (Mixed Blood Theatre), "La Posada" (Teatro del Pueblo) and "The Correct Posture Of A True Revolutionary" (Los Angeles Theatre Center). Ric was published in “The Conscious Reader, 9th Edition” and “The Challenge of Advent.” His play "Echoes del Nuevo Mundo", with music by Cristian Amigo, a commission by Teatro del Pueblo based in St. Paul, Minnesota, is currently touring schools in the Minneapolis area.
